He has been associated with the organization since 1994. Prior to assuming the role of the CEO in 2009, Mr. Balasubramanian served as Chief Investment Officer from 2006 to 2009. As Managing Director & CEO, Mr. Balasubramanian oversees Rs. 3 lakh crore in Assets Under Management at Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC. He has been on the board of AMFI (Association of Mutual Funds in India) since 2009 and was the Vice Chairman of AMFI in 2015-2016. He has served as the Chairman of AMFI for two terms, from 2016-2018, and reappointed for the period of 2021 – 2023.
